Good for you. What does that have to do with what I write?

1·3 months agoYes… Because OpenOffice was truly free at the beginning, but then they wanted to make it more and more closed, and then people who didn’t share that mission went their separate way. Lucky for those os us, who like things to be as open as possible… And free… And I still pay for it - but I’m free to do that. I had a rough couple of years with low income and many expenses, but even then I could use it for free. That’s true freedom to me. I don’t want things to be free, like in the sense that I don’t want to pay. I do pay, I like to support things that makes sense to me, and with the amount that I can actually afford.

0·4 months agoIt’s Euro-Office that might have Russians roots. Do get the facts straight. ;-)
LibreOffice is the only real free and open, open source office suite out there.
Don’t agree with a lot of them. Like choosing Brave. Please do a critical search on it.
And the most private mail, is either a self host, or a mail hotel… And then something like Thunderbird. You can host your own calendar there too… Because Fossify Calendar don’t host your calendars.
Don’t use AI…
And Arch is certainly not for everyone. Mint, Fedora, Ubuntu and the likes are a lot better.
Firefox has a great Password manager, if you are one of the poor sods, who can’t remember all your unique passwords. ;-)
Signal is Trump/fascism supporters… Shouldn’t use that either…

1·6 months agoPlease do block me. I’d appreciate that. You are not here to learn or listen, you are here to make people do the work for you. Maybe you should go ask an AI, seems like you lack, what they claim to have…

You are not asking me to justify, you are asking me to prove it, and to compare a lot of countries rules and regulations. That’s trolling. Do the legwork yourself, thanks!

1·6 months agoAre you here to troll, or why do you expect me to teach you on this subject? Seriously, if you need to compare all the laws, be my guest, but don’t be daft about it in here.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•If you could have your email provider based in any country, which one would you choose? Which one do you think has the best privacy protections?
1·6 months agoWell, not all EU countries share laws. There’s the EU laws, and then there’s the countries own laws. We (here in Denmark) is often a bit more secure, than most other countries - and because my provider is in the country I live in, if there are any disputes, they can be settled here, without spending a million on lawyer fees… :-)

What games can’t you play on linux? Some apps can’t be run natively in linux, but use an emulation for them. That will work…

There are ways to bypass some of the issues. But for me, what works the best, is to get used to use the tool that fits the job best, and sometimes that’s two or three tools for the same project. It’s exactly if I do some woodwork (carpenter work), I might use both a saw, a hammer, a chisel, a drill and a screwdriver… It really doesn’t bother me, to use more apps to create something I’m satisfied with. :-)
Inkscape, Gimp, Krita is my most used apps on Linux… :-) On SloWindows it’s mostly Inkscape and Affinity…

How about Session?
