It there any TV brand that we can still buy?

I’m not really sure how I will be able to setup TV or something that allows watching TV at this point.

I don’t watch TV, but my honest advice is to use old monitors and connect them to a cheap UNIX supported device (Linux/BSD). If you’re going to use Linux, you should know that there’s now mainline support for RT (Real-Time) kernels, which should make your TV experience a lot better. I’m sure there are supported pci cards available. We should stop sacrificing our privacy for convenience, open source tends to catch up over time, and at some point it’s the better option. Learn to segment your network, set up firewalls on all your appliances, and allow only the traffic you want. Use packet filtering, ad-blocking, IP blocking, etc. It’s also a fun way to learn something new.

You can use androidtv with adb and universal android debloater next gen to get rid of telemetry. Hisense is a decent choice. It’s also possible to completely uninstall launchers with ads and replace them with flauncher which loads almost instantly
