I had a friend who got in trouble with the FBI this way.
They might have been asking about methane production, that’s a big topic for cattle because it’s a very potent greenhouse gas and having a lot of cattle produces a lot of methane - and it’s a byproduct of how their digestive systems work and all ruminants, sheep included, have that problem to some degree.
I wasn’t able to find a definitive answer, but per animal sheep aren’t as bad, but it’s due to their smaller size and if western countries kept eating the same amount of meat but ate more sheep (due to it being cheaper from the demand for sheep condoms, lol) instead of beef I’m not sure it would be better. (Replacing chicken with sheep would definitely be worse though.)
I’m going to disagree with you on the “is Mac better than Windows” front - I think there’s good arguments either way though. At least with a Mac, the end user is still, mostly, who they are designing for. On Windows the end user is becoming the product.
Best: full size candy bars Worst: US Smarties.
Yeah but that broke GRUB and had a pretty specific error message associated with it. I don’t think problems with grub look like what OP is describing (although I don’t know enough to say for sure).
Anecdotally, I’m running a Fedora Atomic-based OS alongside Windows and that Windows update didn’t cause any problems for me.
I think ace people are using that already. /s
I think some variant of cake day is fun but I’m regretfully going to play devil’s advocate this time (even though he really doesn’t need any more advocates).
Is an account anniversary a thing we want to recognize as a part of Lemmy culture? There’s quite a few people who aren’t on their original Lemmy accounts anymore due to servers going offline and cultural disagreements with their original instances. When account migration becomes a thing, does your anniversary follow it? There’s a higher percentage of people who make new accounts every so often for the purpose of privacy and that’s a behavior I think, as a community, we want to respect even if we don’t want to celebrate it - having recognized and trustworthy-ish regulars also has value. I’m not sure if Reddit-level recognition of an anniversary makes sense in the context of the culture we’ve already started building here.
Also, the majority of those who are on our original accounts have anniversaries within like a month of each other due to Reddit’s API bullshit - and doesn’t our Canvas event fall around that same time (although using that specifically as a “Fuck Reddit” event is imo not productive - I like the fact that last year’s canvas had fuck u/spez everywhere and this year’s didn’t).
I wonder if the artist was a fan of the pomodoro technique?
I suspect the same people who like Papa John’s Pizza are the same ones who like Red Baron frozen pizzas (which also is sweet). I like both, but unfortunately for me the local Papa John’s is not great.
There’s a game you control by blinking. Before Your Eyes. It’s a fairly short indie game, and maybe a bit heavy, but he should be able to play it just fine.
Buffalo aioli.
But I bet nacho toppings would slap on fries.

This isn’t even an isolated thing, I was a physics math double major and I’ve got into discussions with friends, and the overwhelming consensus was that calc 2 was the worst. Possibly because it’s where sequences and series show up, whereas calc 3 is just calc 1 but in more dimensions.
Well, there’s that, and also because (in the case of World) it’s the largest single site employer in the country - whatever they’re paying is literally the minimum wage everyone else can get away with paying, because Disney is always hiring for something and the vast majority of people can just go work there if they’d make more money. Their unions try, but Orlando is fucked.
If it’s the ad I’m thinking of, I actually kinda liked it. But I definitely agree with you on the safety razors. Better shave and better for the planet. Don’t buy plastic cartridge razors, you’re getting ripped off and needlessly contributing to the plastic problem. Now if only I could find blades that a 100 pack didn’t mean 20 plastic 5-packs of blades, but it still is a lot less waste than a cartridge razor.
Go the Prince route, “the project formerly known as OpenSUSE”.
Eh, I saw some talk about it the first couple of times Quince Mountain was competing.
