More like finding bugs and exploiting the hell out of them.

I’d rather hire someone I know is a decent, stand up guy that is easy to work with even if they are not as qualified as a rando, as long as they’re qualified enough. I’m sure this is not always the case, like maybe I need a specialist for a single thing or a consultant or whatnot. But I put a lot of value on personality in general.
Though I guess it also depends how easy it is to fire someone if they’re not what you wanted.
Quantum computers eh? Yeah that’s not even remotely true. Currently they are a scientific curiosity with very very little practical use.
But that same argument works the other way too, no? If you define a chicken egg as an egg that came from a chicken, then if you have a dozen of eggs you cannot know whether they’re chicken eggs or whatever eggs unless you know specifically a chicken laid them. Even if you take a dna test of it and it comes back as “a chicken”, you cannot know whether it is in fact a chicken egg.
In the other definition you are capable of determining whether the egg is in fact a chicken egg by its contents.
No, the shicken egg was a shicken egg even prior to you eating it. The act of giving it a name is irrelevant. The proto-chicken could’ve lain a hundred eggs, each becoming a new “chicken”. If 99 of them die off and are never born then that does not mean they didn’t exist. It just means they did not exist in a way where we could’ve given them a name.
Could be fun, I’ll take a gander, thanks!
Full price books? Digital. Then second hand physical (rarely) and books from a library.
Black Russian is my thing most of the time. Also gin sour without egg is great.
Chili and bean soups sound great, I’ll take a look, thanks!
Yeah maybe, haven’t really looked at what I could do with one. Though they’re probably a decent bit more expensive.
Got a robo vacuum (Roborock q revo). Amazing stuff. It runs every day and the first floor has never been cleaner.
Air fryer has been fun though I’m still trying to learn what works well with it.
3D printer (Bambulab A1)! So fun.
I just realised that I’ve spent like 2k on gadgets in the past two months oops.
Though I really really want a rice cooker but haven’t pulled the trigger… yet.
Something a bit cheaper is this home made bread that needs no kneading and is amazing.
3dl water (1.3 cups) pouch of dry yeast (11g, 0.38oz) 1tsp salt 1tbs maple syrup (or whatever syrup) 2dl of dried oats (0.85 cups) 5dl of wheat flour (2.1 cups) 2tbs neutral oil (haven’t tried olive) Seeds if you like!
Mix up dry ingredients. Add lukewarm water and mix (add a splash or two extra if it looks like not everything is mixed into the dough). Do not knead, just mix. Add oil and mix slightly. Put a baking sheet in a bread pan and pour the dough in it. Add a spritz of water on the dough surface (not necessary though). Cover and leave in room temperature for 30min. Bake at 175C (350f) for 45-60min.
I think I’ll make one.
Wasn’t it in the end of Inception that the wheel or whatever wobbles which meant that they’re still in a dream? I feel like I remember thinking that the ending isn’t real due to it.
Sounds like a weird saying.
It assumes that the people with bigger wallets also use a larger portion (absolute money, not percentages) on the “thing” to begin with. If the billionaire and the middle class man uses 10€ on the same thing a month, and both stop doing it, then they both got the same amount of “votes”. Much more fitting would be: “if you vote with your wallet, people who spend more money get more votes”.
Of course this only applies if you’re talking about boycots etc, and not about buying stuff.
And yes, people with bigger wallets probably have more sway and power when it comes to get getting their way if they want to, but when people talk about voting with your wallet, they’re not talking about this.
Could you just not include home in the automatic snapshots?
Okay good! Yes the @ seems to be more common and necessary for Timeshift, but I think I’ll just keep this and use Snapper or something.
Ah right yes, that makes sense. Edited.
What the heck even is the point of using email for this?
Never had a backup system, but then again I haven’t used Linux that much. Though considering installing Debian again. Last time I looked at btrfs which seemed dope but there was something weird about it which made me ditch it. Maybe it was that I don’t know that much about Linux and configuring automatic backups seemed difficult.
You can enable indexing and it works a lot better, but somehow still is way inferior to Everything.
Its still there with tons of content.
