  • I went and looked this up, turns out drinking acetone isn’t as outright dangerous as I expected. Our bodies produce a little of the stuff when breaking down fat, into ketones. It’s only a problem when there’s too much of the stuff for the liver to process.

So basically it’s like drinking rubbing alcohol.

… Which you still shouldn’t do.

  • The quickest way to find new friends is to get a find a social activity you find fun and look around you area for places to do it. Like a certain sport? Look for an amateur league. Like a hobby, search for meetups for that hobby.

The trick here is that you already have a common interest that you can talk about.

For example, I like playing pool. I can go to a bar with a table or any pool hall, and I’ll be able to make new friends while playing a few games.

  • I wouldn’t say “complete” can even be sufficiently defined in this case. Every functional definition I can think of has a limiting factor.

Let’s try to define knowledge. What kind of information qualifies? We can usually think of important, useful info like physics and medicine. But what about other data, like sports game stats, atmospheric sensor readings, or even something more esoteric, like the location data of every object on earth.

And even if we could have the information of every single thing at any particular time, what about when things change in the next second? And the one afterwards?

Essentially, nothing will ever be “complete”. Thanks for listening to my rant on semantics.

  • The marketing is intentional. It’s intentional use of buzzwords for search engine optimization, as well as for, you know, stupid people.

Suppose if you left out the “plant based” part on a site where this is sold, then anyone searching “plant based snacks” might not get this as a result.

I’m overly simplifying, but I hope you get what I’m saying.
