I’m gonna echo a sentiment I saw on the last packet tracer meme. Posting these without a content warning is literally violence. I’m having flashbacks to NET 101. someone should stop you people,

Linux@lemmy.ml•Linux desktop use spikes to over 10% in North America for the first time. There is also a corresponding drop in Windows and OSX use.

7·29 days agoIf it’s stupid but it works it’s still stupid and you’re lucky
If youre not using a custom instruction that brute forces different ways to try to get the other model not to fuck uo youre doing it wrong. If that doesn’t work, add another llm into the pipe
Edit what is a token and why is my boss sending me angry emails

1·1 month agoI think that falls under “back to the drawing board.” Functionally there’s little difference between talking to a model and taking a call. If management is pushing them to dictate and it’s causing a problem they should put them in cubes.

71·1 month agoFuck if I know, all I know is you can sit next to a blender in a busy office full of crying babies and barking dogs while writing a dissertation on an electric typewriter and the person on the other end of the line would never be able to tell. Professional headsets (like in the $300-$500 range) are honestly pretty incredible. If these silicon valley offices are too noisy for a high end EOS to handle, or if they genuinely have that many people constantly talking all day to the point that it’s a problem then they need to go back to the drawing board. Steno masks have their place but for anything a garden variety techbro is doing they’re either performative bullshit or a lazy bandaid. I guaranfuckingtee bossman has no interest in putting one of these on.

27·1 month agohigh end office headsets already have excellent isolation, wearing a muzzle is just a humiliation ritual.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Have you ever found yourself in a personal situation that felt like it contradicted your political beliefs?
9·2 months agoThe question itself is solid, I’ll give drunk me that, but the vagueposting attached to it does not feel good to read the day after lmfao. I participate in capitalism, is all I can come up with. But we all participate in capitalism, idk what’s embarrassing about that

12·2 months agoThat’s a great observation —the sycophantic nature of ChatGPT can be really offputting when you’re not used to the way the AI writes. Would you like:
- tips and tricks on using ChatGPT?
- advice on creating your own GPT prompt?
- suggestions on less sycophantic AI chatbots?
I’m here to help. Just let me in
can’t do it anymore the bit isnt worth it ew ew ew
