Don’t listen to them. Mullvad is a bad VPN for torrenting, they don’t even have port forwarding. Also tun0 is what you want to bind your qBittorrent to.
I transcribe posts over on c/microblogmemes along with whatever else i feel like transcribing

Are you talking about Seeker?
The ideal piracy software doesn’t exist. It would be great if information was freed, that would be ideal.
Or pirate your music and quit the renting economy. Soulseek, streamrip, private trackers
There are hundreds of thousands of albums that Spotify doesn’t have, probably the majority of my Bandcamp feed isn’t on there.
It is very funny but you do you
okay then i will make sure to watch a bunch of porn today so i can go to hell where the cool folks hang out.
Is this satire?
You only need a web browser to use ipfs. Nothing else needed
You can rip any NFT. Just save the image from the ipfs link
Kind of both. I keep a music collection as an archive and share it with others too on Soulseek
IMO piracy is only justified when it corrects for a problem
and big tech mass surveillance isn’t a problem?
When the only “valid source” for an app is an app store run by an advertising company that’s more then enough to justify it.
Someone was going to say it
It depends whether you enjoy the datahoarder experience or if you just want to listen. Also internet avaliability. My mobile data isnt even 320kbps sometimes so streaming isnt an option. I also don’t want it all tied to someone else. I have a lot of music in my hoard that was pulled from streamers or wasn’t on them to begin with.
You can just burn CDs if there is no offiical one.
Im a little concerned at the possibility of Napster being enshittisied with crypto garbage
I do believe that piracy is moral and ethical and sharing knowledge is what helps humanity thrive. However, due to copyright law, the sharing of knowledge is criminalized. Private trackers serve as a way for people to share knowledge with less of a risk of bad actors (commonly known as copyright trolls) interfering. Private trackers very much are a “secret club”, but that is why they are able to stay open for long periods of time without legal action. For me, whenever I download something from a private tracker I am also sure to share it publicly on other P2P networks, as to not gatekeep.
