I can but the issue is that I won’t be using it. My current phone will be better than a used phone bought.

I don’t mind giving graphene a try but I’ll be honest, I have the following issues:
File level access to files. I would love to have the option of moving files in folders and connecting it to a PC to drag and drop files.
True multi tasking.
Ability to install apps from other sources.
Ask a Ninja.
Honestly, one month of a service like Netflix or Disney. I’m against these services but I feel $15 will give great value for a month.
Tuner. A great app to use.
Honestly, I root for lemmy and use it daily. However, Reddit still wins on pure content and niche communities.
Mine would be king of fighters 99. It’s on ps1 though.
I use aegis as my 2fa app. I backup the 2fa seeds in my keepass file.
Get yourself the Lenovo. They are good.
You should be storing your 2fa seeds somewhere just in case an update isn’t able to import a backup. Makes it easy to shift to another app.
Working from Home is a must, and spending quality time with the loved ones.
Climbing the corporate ladder isn’t my priority now anymore. I am more interested in work that pays for my hobbies and spending time with my loved ones.
That’s true. There are a lot of fringe types of users here that aren’t interesting (weed, curries, conspiracy stuff, etc). General average Joe discussions aren’t much here tbh.
I do enjoy privacy and Foss discussions, but another issue here is that alot of posts are either reposts by users, or bots. You can check that same post on Reddit and you will see a lot of comments around it. Some positive and others negative but still higher in numbers.
Consolidation is another thing. There are many communities that are similar on different instances, firefox for example.
Would be nice if lemmy supports something like multi Reddit with the option of hiding duplicate posts.
Content diversity seems like it slowed down. Back when the Reddit exodus happened about of niche communities were created. A lot of them have been abandoned now.
Lemony is still good as it’s tech and privacy centric (which I love). But the excess of US related news, furry stuff, commie/cappie arguments are everywhere. You can always block communities and instances but it gets tiring after some time.
I would keep a small dumb phone as a family phone for when kids go on trips and sleep overs. They get a personal smartphone at around the age of 16 or 18.
Try this and see if it works for you.
Bottom of the phone.
I tend to mount my phone in my car and prefer if the jack is at the bottom.
I see two options here really. Either get a pixel phone and install Graphene on it (this allows you to run play services in a sandbox), or get any phone that supports lineage and install everything there and avoid Google.
It depends on whether you need Google services or not. Pixel phones support both operating systems.
They will take it seriously if their personal information becomes visible.
