Got banned on the open-source community for having a different political opinion and exposing manipulation. That admins really don’t seem to mind getting their systems ransomwared lol.

  • This has to be against some kind of law right?

    Only in the EU.

Anyways I think that “pay or consent” model isn’t that bad. You either pay with your data or your money. Seems fine to me though pay only would be better. Everyone is used to getting everything online for free. It has to change now imo. The internet isn’t a bunch of hobby forum projects anymore. The price of running a popular website is big and idk if privacy-respecting ads can give enough profit at this point.

  • That’s another story then. The current post is nothing but hate and politics. The title is clickbait and misleading. It should’ve been written completely differently.

EDIT: well there’s no point in arguing with those who think they can blindly use any means possible to hurt Russia and anything related (or not) to it. It makes sense though still a bit stupid.

  • Every sane person will recommend Linux only. However not everyone can use it. WMs decrease performance so you’ll need good hardware. Dualboot may delete one of your OSes. It’s a matter of if it’s worth it or not. I personally don’t see a problem with running Windows only for gaming. Though if you’re paranoid about privacy then it may not be a good idea if your Linux partition is not encrypted (if there are backdoors, someone can mount your Linux partition remotely and read it etc etc). If you still want to keep Windows, buy a second physical drive to avoid the OS deletion risk.
