Look I don’t think its bad to have people like that testing, but you’d need a test team to write the test for them or have those people specifically interested in testing the software.

I’ve had a project where we as testers got out most bugs during test phase, after that it went to staging and there were a few business people who always jumped on testing it there and found bugs we couldn’t think of cause they just knew the business flows so well and we had to go off what our product owners said.

Leaving all testing to a non-testing team isn’t gonna work

A developer with a QA mindset is never a bad thing in my opinion. It makes sure issues are fixed earlier and saves time (and for management, money)

I’ve worked with some insanely talented devs who were amazed at some of the shit I was able to pull and we could have a laugh about it

Tester here, I only have to do this if the ticket is unclear / its not clear where impact can be felt by the change. I once had a project with 4 great analysts and basically never had to ask this question there.

I’ve moved from Belgium to the Netherlands (so the standard you show to the one with 2 grounding things at the top and bottom). Every single plug was compatible and usable without issue. The ONLY issue with the plugs here is that they can’t handle as high of a load as the Belgian ones. The best part about these are that you can plug it in both ways which is soooo convenient!

I’m using infomaniak. Bought my domain via them and got a free mailbox with it + simple site hosting (kualdir.eu for example).

The only “issue” you may encounter is while moving mail provider you may need to take a more expensive option than the non-custom domain ones. At least, that I know of ofc.

Woah actually sounds interesting, and this is all possible just with adguard or how did you set it up?

I am looking into setting up Home Assistant once I’ve secure an appartement but it seems kinda complicated.

They still just block ads right? My issue with that is that it breaks certain sites and due to it being on router level I can’t just turn it off for that site (as far as I know, I may work in IT but I’m not thaaaat technical)

I personally had issues with AdGuard as a DNS with quite a few websites breaking. I use Quad9 instead.

Same with a VPN at router level, I play games that are harsh on VPN usage and don’t want to get banned on those so can’t use it network wide atm.

I personally just learned automatic (had a deadline for my work, less risk this way) and the only downside is people complaining that I don’t have a manual license. “What if” is something you’ll keep hearing from people. I tried manual and it’d require me to do quite a few extra lessons and do ANOTHER exam so I’m just not doing it.

Honestly if you can, do manual. If it stresses you out too much, do automatic. Cars will go towards automatic/electric anyways so in like 10 years it really won’t matter anymore.
