easiest is just to get a newer intel i3 with iGPU.

transcodes everything and is very fast at it as well with quicksync. and uses a low amount of power.

you could mount your media as read only :ro assuming you use a container

MacOS and I’m certainly never going away from that. Just perfect for my use case with nice unix base and a great gui. best of both worlds

easiest fix is to correctly name the files for the first season. then you should be good to go
