stealing cars
I don’t remember this one either, but wasn’t there a while back when it was a trend to wreck bathrooms/toilets? Not sure if it was a challenge, but it was something that started on TikTok.

Plenty of other stories
I’m glad.
My mother was a professional hot air balloon pilot…
I really liked how this started, but not how it progressed.
Is the deer the Libreboot logo? Mine has a rabbit (Coreboot). I flashed Coreboot on my old Chromebook a couple of years ago and it’s been running different flavours of linux since without any fuss.
In the high end Audio/headphone community many people still use them. Some of them are really expensive, too… However, as far as I remember, certain iPods are still considered some of the best portable players because their DAC is still really good.
I just want a 10" color e-ink ebook reader, that has natural colors, so it is good enough to read modern comics on.
Phone:OnePlus 6. Default browser: Mull.(it’s been Firefox nightly for ages bu I recently switched)
Lemmy, Kbin, Matrix, Mastodon (rarely, but I do have an app installed for it.)
Edit: ending the parentheses.
Would that be “bird law”?
You can make tomato salad with just tomato and onion.
Nurses, teachers, fire, EMTs
I,too, wanted to become fire when I grew up. Turns out it’s not a real job. Instead I became disappointed.
Opening bottles with your phone used to be a thing too. Most used Nokias from the 32/3310 era in Denmark have scratches at the bottom from people not doing I properly. I’ve seen some people open beer with iPhones, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
You grab the neck of the bottle tightly with your dominant hand so your finger a thumb is holding the cap tightly. Then you take the lighter in the other hand and wedge it in between the dominant hand and cap. Squeeze tightly and use the lighter as a lever.
Cigarette lighters don’t explode that violently if they’re punctured. The greatest hazard would probably be getting plastic in your eye. If you do it wrong the lighter usually just gets scratched.
In Germany it was opening a beer bottle with anything you just happened to have in your hand at that time.
This goes for Denmark too.
I’m Danish. Opening beer with a lighter or other things that aren’t technically a bottle opener.
I’ve told this story on here before, but here it is again: I used to write for a very Windows-centric computer magazine, and after a couple of years I noticed that most of the content I was writing was about how to make Windows behave less like Windows. So I thought I’d give Linux a go, and I haven’t looked back since. I’ve had phases when I tried convincing all my friends to make the switch, but I’ve realized that it’s just not for everyone. I don’t think I’m obsessed, I don’t customize my desktop much, I just want my system to work smoothly.
