One thing that’s annoying in Wayland is new window placement where app can’t control it at all*. Wayland would place it on a screen it wants. This gets hugely annoying when you have more than one monitor and/or virtual desktops and you’d want to restore billion of browser windows, for example.

Sure, I can also drive it to any repair shop where they can buy repair parts and replace them or do whatever it takes to repair it. I can even replace the light bulbs myself, though thus part is not trivial :S

While that might be so, I can still buy original spare parts for my 25 years old car and I could still service it at official repair shop if I wanted to.

It should be regulated similar to how cars are regulated - with mandatory service and spare parts for many years.

I guess there is room for improvement here, at least a message saying that author deleted the post. Not sure whether to show comments or not, but I guess they could be shown. Something like reddit does where post content is replaced by [Deleted] or something like that.

And you missed the whole point of my post. If the post was removed by mods, why it isn’t listed in modlog then?

Nope. Running a windows guest for legacy development (50GB for few bigger visual studio projects and other related apps) then Rider, Android Studio, IntelliJ, podman and other apps native on Linux, often switching between them. 128GB is a bit much even for this, but it is never bad to have same free space just in case. The only downside is that I bought 4 DDR5 modules only to later find out that they put a break on speed as AMD really prefers 2 of them.

Laughs in one year old 128GB RAM on fedora Linux.
