Yeah as far as I know this still works.
You need to use a valid address (there are sites for generating one)
You also need to use a credit card that has never previously been used in Google with another address
Judging by the amount of their nonsense posted on Lemmy, I imagine programmers sitting around all day creating memes about how hard their job is.
Programmers are just like the rest of us!
He was a good friend
It’s a Reddit tradition!
Listen if past me couldn’t keep up that’s on them.
We’re all probably better for it.
I’m way cooler than that guy.
The US is a lot bigger and more spread out than most Europeans seen to imagine
My local grocery store takes batteries and light bulbs and a few other electronics/etc for recycling. May just be a local thing though
I’ve been using Linux for a long time on various other systems but what caused me to finally ditch Windows completely on my daily driver was:
A nonconsensual Windows Update which caused my bitlocker encryption to become corrupted and I lost everything on that disk.
This unscheduled reformat combined with all the other shady practices on Windows lately cemented my choice.
It’s been several months now and I couldn’t be happier!
The quality of gaming on Linux has advanced an incredible amount in the last year or so since I’ve tried it. Most of my games will either run natively or require a few extra clicks to use proton in steam. A few outliers that aren’t on steam required Lutris.
On average I find the performance in games is better on Linux, even for non-native games using proton/wine.
Definitely would recommend giving it a shot if you are on the fence. Particularly if you’ve tried gaming in the past and were disappointed.
It doesn’t have to be, it can be configured in KDE.
You can have it in last-used order and have it separate Monica’s/unminimized windows too.
Standards and CONSEQUENCES
Yes I love it!
I can use the same wall plug or portable battery for my laptop, phone, and soldering iron, and it has a bunch of nice qol features.
There’s an accelerometer built-in so it can detect when you put down/pick up the iron for sleeping the heater and also for orienting the display. The new version also has Bluetooth so you can monitor/control the iron from your phone/PC.
The heating element is in the tip so you are less likely to burn your fingers and it’s also far more efficient so it’s able to heat up very quickly and handle large pads for its size.
It can draw up to 85W through a barrel jack or USB-PD.
I paid $25 for it and have gotten a ton of use out of it.
I put away my expensive soldering iron and use this one exclusively now because it’s just more convenient to use.
I would definitely recommend it for new or experienced users, it’s a great value for the price.
Pinecil soldering iron
But is that really winning?
I use Kopia on both Linux and Windows.
It’s really fast and has a lot of great features.
And it’s FOSS
Probably to a degree.
There’re some nice UI features that I’m not sure could be achieved with extensions and some of the privacy features include having removed some statistics tracking that can’t be disabled in stock Firefox.
Firefox also comes with some preinstalled extensions like Pocket, and that screenshot tool. With WaterFox you can choose not to install those.
Yup it does!
