Receiving land for farting good.
Receiving land for farting good.
I checked the CMOS and ended up replacing it. I thought that was it too. Same issue.
I paid 100 bucks for this server 5 years ago, came with 4TBs. Only thing I ever did with it was run private game servers on it for my friends. Maybe I’ll try replacing it again just for laughs and poop.
Thats me. My car, teeth, hair, and some parts of my rental house (thanks landlord) are falling apart and I can’t afford to fix any of it cause rent and bills are due each month and they keep going up. Its fucken madness, its making me insane.
We livin as nomads or in the swamps. Bending or not doesn’t matter. Though if I can’t bend I’d rather be with the swamp people than air nomads.
Yes! RIP Dinocrisis. My Gauntlet: Dark Legacy survived the process though. Thing still runs today with a fucking trench etched across the bottom, it doesn’t make sense really.
The worst piece of tech I currently own is a small server that must have hard drive issues cause it forgets everything when it restarts and I have to set it up again.
The worst piece of tech that I have ever owned in my life is a CD Cleaner I bought from GameStop back in the day. That shit was straight up a sacrificial altar. It never cleaned. Only consumed.
I just can’t subscribe to that idea. If it took 1 dick to ruin everything society would never have gotten off the ground in the first place. Hell, even today, our power grid pretty much operates off the principle of 'don’t be a dick and shoot this with the guns we all have" and it took MAGA craziness for people to attack them. I’d say compassion operates within any given system in spite of people being dicks and thats why we have prevailed the way we have.
Fostering societal systems of greed and competition rather than of cooperation and compassion.
Because they’re stupid and racist. They feel like they’re left out and dont know how to parse it. Some also think that anybody speaking in a language thats not English in America have something to hide. When really its just what they’re comfortable using. Forcing everyone to use and learn English at all times is like forcing everyone to use the same text editor at all times. Not everyone is comfortable in Vim or Emacs, and everyone should probably know a little about another editor rather than just their favorite. Which brings me to my final point: our education system has failed us.
I’m gonna be honest, this sounds about right for 2024. Skeleton crews a dick hair away from disaster as far as the eye can see.
I never liked the look and feel of Ubuntu. My first Linux server experience was running Minecraft servers off of Ubuntu. Try it out and see what you like better. Thats all that matters.
The Samsung keyboard had a data breach a while ago. That should tell you all you need to know about Samsung products. Use Heliboard. Its great
No it doesn’t, you deserve a home.
You’re telling’ me. The amount if “once in a lifetime” crises I’ve experienced is too damn high. I’m going to be 30 this year and I’ll never be able to afford a house.
Stalling a ticket here means a day, not two weeks. I have 72 hours to respond at a maximum before I get penalized. We are worked so fast here the skin flies off your bones.
No and if I found a way I would file a report against any other IT agent who did. That’s invasion of privacy IMO. Microsoft can tho, remember the Kinect?
Corporate IT: I see nearly everything you do on your computer. I can see exactly how long what application is open. If I ask you to restart your computer, you don’t, and you somehow get me in front of it, restarting it better not fix it or your next ticket is gonna be low priority no matter what. If you want in with IT, always open a ticket and include as much info as you can clearly convey. Snacks and bribes won’t always work with those of us who are very antisocial.
It depends on the character. I never write perfect characters. Most of my characters are extremely flawed individuals whose flaws lead to the issues in the story, or contribute to a wider plot of some kind. I look at real people and ideals, try to get on their side even if I hate it, and make a character with those viewpoints. One thing all my characters have is sacrifice and the chance of redemption. All of my characters go through some sort of personal sacrifice to achieve their goals, not all of them redeem themselves even if there is always the chance. I do make that pathway visible to the reader. I feel it gets people in the mindset of a complete other, or at least helps them make sense of a differing thought process. And yes, I make doubly sure to do this with characters who are designed to be hated.
Owning a car. I want to walk in a city made for people. I can’t afford to move.
You’ve been here for 33 minutes.
