I think the centrist approach would be to kill people with monocles

The avatar with arrows. Sometimes blue, but usually only the arrows get glowy blue.
I’m with you, my kid is a grumpy mess if there’s too much YouTube time, but watching Avatar on jellyfin? No problem. Things improved once we actively curated what’s available on YouTube and cut out the trash on YouTube kids.
That’s not Mama, that’s our son!

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•If you could erase the existence of 3 people, who would they be?
7·1 month agoThere are billionaires that aren’t either

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•(cant find the aita community) am i a bad person for saying "women" instead of "people who can get pregnant"?
41·1 month agoWait, Afab and Amab aren’t pirate captains? I imagine the jolly Rogers have different pride color sets, the skull also a rainbow.
(Hope next time you see/hear those terms, you think pirates instead of discomfort)
If you could float an island in the sky, would hovering over lava cause it to be magma? (Can you have lava in a large tunnel, or is that magma?)

I’m part of the problem. I have a penguin inflatable on my lawn. (I also have a dragon and a dinosaur, also not known for Christmas)
Does it really have a resting shocked Pikachu face?

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the most repairable "thing" you own?
19·2 months agoI have a few.
Blunt umbrella - all the parts are replaceable, big win.
3d printer - I am confident I could replace any part that dies. It’s not the newest or the best, but it’s mine.
Also our humidifier is, in theory super fixable, a venta air, but it’s been rock solid and hasn’t needed work yet.
They are both skeletons, best we can do is assume some of their genetics and come up with a statistically backed answer.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the oldest video game you still find yourself playing?
18·2 months agoPlaying regularly? Minecraft.
There are a few games I revisit as my kid grows up and gets to experience them for the first time, but Minecraft keeps coming back.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How can I explain that my last workplace was in a cult without seeming unprofessional?
76·2 months ago“it wasn’t a good cultural fit, I’m looking for someone more dynamic/insert whatever you think the new company has”
“There weren’t any growth opportunities, I didn’t want to stagnate”.
Something where instead of complaining about the other company, you show that you want to be a good employee and seek growth opportunities, yada yada
What’s this about right after waking up? (I may have struck this from memory)
Right, but the ip address of the windows machine has likely changed, so potentially, when the phone tries to connect, it’s using the old address and find nothing there. They are suggesting that the phone’s knowledge of the PC address needs updating.
I don’t think it’s the network, it’s likely the windows machine or the phones settings. Can you set the new network as a trusted network? (I’m unsure of how on either device)

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Parents of Lemmy, how much do you spend on Christmas presents for your kids each year?
3·3 months agoI’m probably in the way too much camp, but it doesn’t make us tighten spending at all, and it’s likely not much compared to others.
My key is that it shouldn’t impact spending in January.
That’s how they hear the art

Regeneration would undo a vasectomy, and that is quite undesirable.
