Something about both size and shape that makes very small plugs fall out and medium to large plugs hurt (and rarely an earbud brand has one that doesn’t hurt and doesn’t fall out). The ear doctor didn’t have any plugs small enough for me for the sound test machine. But Beyerdynamic Amiron 300 fits perfectly, I think it was the small, not XS that worked for me. Maybe give that one a test in a store if possible.

I hate Danish subtitles on English content. Not because they’re inherently bad but because it is extremely distracting. English on English is fine but only if it is word for word what they say, otherwise I turn it off and just pay more attention.

Thing is, jokes cannot be translated easily, meanings change, and so on. That makes it so that the translated version isn’t carrying the same punch as the original. And I simply don’t have the mental capacity to read Danish and listen to English simultaneously (or ignore the subtitles).

And it’s like that in reverse too. I’ve been showing some Danish movies to a foreigner, obviously she needed English subs, which proved to be hard to cancel out for me.

I think EA opting for not having Denuvo poses a much bigger existential risk. If a big player like EA discovers that they’re actually not losing money for skipping DRM and are only getting bad rep for using it, they might consider if it is worth it at all. If a big player like EA goes, so does the rest.

Denuvo has broken their strategy of not interacting with the market at all (they’re not popular after all) due to their controversy actively hurting their sales. If Hypervisor workarounds can help speed it up I’m all for it, but I’m more keeping an eye on what game Denuvo is playing right now.

No, it is the OS verifying what you know. The OS doesn’t care if you gave your password to anyone, just that whoever is opening the PC knows the password.

Verifying who you are would be biometric verification or ID verification.

In my case I require a password and a hardware key on login. That is still not verifying that I am myself, only that I know the password, and have the hardware key. If I added fingerprint scanning then I would have the holy trifecta and only then verify who I am.

I think they’re talking about heatpump driers. Mine’s barely even registering as warm in the tiny room its in. Run it multiple times in a day and the room is quite noticeaby low in humidity. I think in Europe it’s almost the only thing you can get nowadays due to the energy regulations, that’s at least the case in Denmark.
