Are you sure those numbers are right? The proportions of 550nm/0.08nm and c/461m/s are very different.

Oh nice. Does your system FINALLY provide enough addreses for every Planck volume in the observable universe? It’s been frickin amateur hour, this internet thing.
Nope, I’m not sure I even looked for one yet. I don’t need auto sync and/or backup for my work since that’s mostly in GitHub and JIRA and the like. But it’s still convenient to be able to throw a file in there at times.
Insert “use Linux” joke. But I’m absolutely serious when I say that using my company’s M365 stuff using the web versions in Firefox on Linux is pretty pleasant.
I was thinking MAANA
I love this image, and this was one of my favorite numbers in science too. Sometimes I think it’s more difficult to imagine how insanely small the atomic scale is than how insanely large the cosmic scale is.
That was my takeaway too. I knew Ebola was a big long shape, so it didn’t stand out much, but then “ohhh of course rabies just randomly looks like invisible nano bullets!”
Yet another flawed system run by humans. Humans always ruining nice things.
Definitely. The context just seemed to be people who know what OSs are.
I get the sense that both of those two things are somewhat true here. They’re getting rid of 10, and people want to avoid 11.
That sounds like a job for future-people!
You could just attach their frozen heads to the dark side of the Webb telescope if they can afford it!
Why do you have such a problem with pesticide manufacturer profits? No wonder you don’t understand American culture!
( /s - I have a family and tons of animals and a very ragged lived-in yard)
Please add me to that newsletter, and may the billboards be cast from your sight, brother!
I think it’s safe to say that the Lemmy user base trends a bit more “computer nerd” than the general public. So we generally have more people that already use Linux, and more people that could reasonably benefit from switching.
Plus of course moving off of windows is one of the most effective ways to show your displeasure with Microsoft.
CaNceL cUlTuRe!!
Well that seems depressingly likely to be accurate.
I guess any robots we leave behind will win by forfeit!
You aren’t supposed to do that, assuming you’re the one pumping gas. Gas stations are a bad place to generate static electricity, lol.
That’s the thing - it is not prevented from accelerating. The wheels are functionally frictionless. That’s why planes have brakes. The plane pushes on the air to move, & the treadmill could accelerate backwards until the plane’s tires explode.
