You mean a bog standard motherboard with CPU and nividia GPU mostly used for gaming and webbrowsing.
Eta windows in the only is I have ever had issues with printer drivers on as well now that I’m thinking of it
Eta though on we hardware like the tablet that particular set up does have its known issues but I’m a keyboard and mouse gal personally
I experience literally zero of those issues you mention. Literally I experience more issues on windows than I do with mint
Linux mint is pretty basic to use if I’m being honest
I’m similar except cinnamon
Get time shift set up so you have restore points if needed
First end or second edition I have been on first since wotx pulled their bs with 4th edition
Welcome to Linux when it dies
If you are unaware gaining on Linux for most games super easy these days nice and quick for handling getting windows put of your life
I got put of gmail via protonail and proton mail provides me a lot of things that google offered. Proton offers zero access encryption.
And for the open source alternatives if they were tracking thosevthat review the source code would callitt out.
For sheets and docs I don’t do a lot of collab work so I just use libre office but their are open source alternatives you can host for colabrotive work
Besides 3.5 is better /s mostly. Its my preferred system but enjoy what you like
I miss the days I only needed 2 tb
Personally I prefer jellyfins interface. Plus its easy for my bon tech familyyto use jellyfin
personally i prefer mint, in large part because i love the cinnamon desktop and mint seems more stable than pop os in my experience. (and if you have nvidia gpus i know pop os can have it pre installed but getting it installed in mint is the click of a few buttons)
Edit to add: See what desktop environments you like, than find a distro that ships with that environment, that will tend to lead to great levels of stability for you.
you use a system like mint and it is as easy if not easier to use that windows and the local application search bar actually works decently and doesnt bring up a bunch of useless fucking web results.
Hell, i personally run into MORE issues on windows than linux which is why in 2020 when proton became pretty big news i made the final switch and have not looked back. I use windows in my work laptop cause work makes me, other than that i dont touch windows based systems and i live with more stability running mint.
Hard disagree. I use mint as my daily driver and gaming PC and run into less issues as a whole than if I was running windows
Not as far as I can see but it is in alpha
