A lot of the suppositions are done with impossible to happen stuff, like the sun literally disappearing, or collapsing into a blackhole with no added mass (a sun mass blackhole would be stable, but I don’t know how one could be created).

Yes, and some animals (mostly birds iirc) do see UV. Boring brown/black birds aren’t so boring in UV. I don’t know the evolutionary pressure necessary for UV, but it could have developed. Red, for instance, is believed to have been useful for us to pick out berries. Wolves, being carnivorous, wouldn’t necessarily need it, so see in yellow blue… or so I read as a theory a while ago.

Studies generally take time, so if it were months later they likely had it before you. The years later is a maybe, but also possible because it takes time to get grants to do studies as well. Exceptions tend to be more urgent stuff like the pandemic, but even then we had SARS outbreaks decades ago and they’ve been studying it for a while, even if it wasn’t specific SARS-COV-2.

Your original comment could be taken in various tones and they wanted a clarification. For what it’s worth, it is useful to some to hear it, since it could help people see differences between the US and other countries. It’s just said in a way that felt more like “Butchers don’t do this” rather than “As the contrast, I don’t see this done in my country”. Either way though, in the spirit of the question it is sorta off topic.

It’s like asking “Why does this currency have this person on it?” and getting the answer “I’ve never seen that currency used anywhere I lived.” While true, it’s not really relevant, doesn’t answer the question, and can either be taken as a long winded way to say “I don’t know” or stubborn self centered everything worth knowing is centered around your own experiences. Which is definitely reading into it too much, but there are people who act like that, either as trolls or real jingoists.

I grew up JW myself, but they believe dead is dead, and don’t believe in eternal torment. They do still believe in heaven and in eternal life, to come at a different time, so it’s not like they don’t believe the fantasy stuff as well, they just agree with no eternal torment.

I mostly don’t ever answer calls I don’t recognize, and even the ones I do I don’t often answer if I’m at work etc. I’ve only answered calls when it’s for something important being delivered, fixed, or scheduled (recent examples in same order: TV, Internet, renting a place(less recent, but all I could think of)).
