The LED should be expected to outlast the rest of the phone by a large margin. That said, given enough units out there, it’s statistically inevitable to get a couple with some issue that die earlier.

The silky pyramid bags are the worst. Paper bags should be ok, unfortunately a lot of bags that appear to be paper might not be, or might be mostly paper with some plastic threads holding it all together. Almost impossible to tell just by looking at it.

What you have to understand is that often a conversation is not really about whatever the topic is.
