Not as “safe” as you think in that regard (I use arch btw), the reason they don’t want it is because you lose control as the administrator. Once everyone is running some flavour of Linux and people report problems, guess who’s gotta look at it? The IT department. It’s a management nightmare compared to windows.

When I can’t middle mouse it right click to open a button in a new tab. It makes it harder to get back to the exact same spot, loaded how it was, to repeat the same task for the next button.
When you’re browsing a website and the text and buttons are so large you can see them from the neighbors house.
I use a bigger screen and higher resolution to fit more, not fit the same…

Count me in as a happy Brother user. I used to think they were the knock off crappy printer but once I started to see more of them poo up and how much better they worked… I just bought myself an all in one laser one. Couldn’t be happier. It works so well, and no bullshit in Linux either. Works there too. Hp used to be the easy way but they’re not so great anymore.
