Also my daily. I’ve been a vertical tab person for many years with treestyle tabs and then sidebery. The tab management features in zen without the need of extensions is the primary selling point for me. Everything just works smoothly for my workflow and the UI is well thought out. I haven’t had any issues with stability or memory usage since moving over from firefox.

13·1 month agoWell shit. There goes my main anime nzb source.
For a mediacenter that isn’t on bleeding edge hardware, fedora or Debian would be my choice for stability. Performance will be similar regardless of distro.
I use arch on my desktop and laptop and Debian/Ubuntu on servers.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Lemmings who enjoy eating buldak original or hotter noodles. Do you feel nothing when you eat hot buffalo wings? Do you just drown food in hot sauce on a regular basis?

18·2 months agoIt’s like people who drink. Your body develops a tolerance to spice and the capsaicin response gradually eases over time. Most people who enjoy spicy food are selective about the types of food they prefer to be spicy. It’s still about the flavour in the end and the heat just enhances that.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•google now requires user data to be submitted by developers on android
6·2 months agoYes this sucks but before we pick up the pitchforks again, let’s just see what comes of this:
While security is crucial, we’ve also heard from developers and power users who have a higher risk tolerance and want the ability to download unverified apps. Based on this feedback and our ongoing conversations with the community, we are building a new advanced flow that allows experienced users to accept the risks of installing software that isn’t verified. We are designing this flow specifically to resist coercion, ensuring that users aren’t tricked into bypassing these safety checks while under pressure from a scammer. It will also include clear warnings to ensure users fully understand the risks involved, but ultimately, it puts the choice in their hands. We are gathering early feedback on the design of this feature now and will share more details in the coming months.

Privacy@lemmy.ml•For those with Pixel 9 Pro on GrapheneOS, what is your battery life like?
181·3 months agoSOT is a useless stat. Battery drain is determined by the type of apps you use and the way they consume resources. Playing a GPU intensive game for 30mins will probably have a much greater effect on the battery than someone watching YouTube for 3hrs.
The responses you’re getting also are about uptime instead of SOT. Getting a real apples to apples comparison will be very difficult without comparing with someone with the same hardware/software/apps/usage pattern.

I still don’t get the appeal of discord for this kind of stuff. Seems like a matter of time before it gets shut down too and all the useful info isn’t discoverable by regular people. But I’m uninformed when it comes to discord.

3·7 months agoDon’t blame you. IPTV in general is risky and this stuff adds even more risk. Definitely not for folks looking for plug and play.
You seem to be looking for conflict, I don’t see a good reason to oblige. Have a nice day.
Poor choice of words on my part. Should’ve said better.
Going in search of info is harder than asking for it to come to you imho.
I would say that’s the opposite of the easy path compared to the current approach, but I can respect the rest.
Wouldn’t it be
easierbetter to read !selfhosted@lemmy.world, /t/selfhosted on mastodon, watch selfhosting youtubers…etc?
I wouldn’t call Fedora bleeding edge and they were also affected.
