Dell Optiplex… You can buy them used all over still. Find one with a decent processor and upgrade everything else. The fans are easy to find and replace. I’ve got a Linux based MCPC that’s about a decade old that’s still going strong. I’ve got one for my kids with Linux on it. I’ve bought several for elderly relatives and upgraded the ram and drive to ssd. They really just seem to go forever.

It’s got a counter on it for some unknown reason. I just made my morning protein shake. I’m at 5473 uses. My previous blender was an oster that lasted a few years and didn’t work well. I’d previously broken cheap blenders after a few uses. If you use it for more than just mixing up simple things, the vitamix and blentec are worth it. Literally the only reason I picked blendtec is because it fit under my counter. The vitamix was too tall.

If they’re dry and stiff, put some leather conditioner on the underside. Maybe you have them too tight. And maybe they’re just not for you.

The stock market should not exist. Investing in companies is fine, but we shouldn’t be able to buy our sell investment shares like a commodity.
All subsidies should not exist. They only alter the supply/demand in unnecessary and damaging ways. This must come with ending commodities trading like stock market investing.
There’s little scenes that cause dopamine hits but the overall story is garbage.
Non faith based charities are still religious too. We just don’t call their dogma “religion”. But that’s what it is.

Ha ha Etymology is fascinating. English is a wild language.
Thru is a word only in the sense that kleen, kwik, kut, tuff, chik, nite, lite, tho, etc are words. It’s called cacography or eye dialect and is the result of marketing and advertising agencies not being able to copyright common phrases. When the terms enter colloquial language, they’re still used but not copyrighted as the incorrect spelling still draws your attention.

Not tongue in cheek at all either. It scares me and I’m nowhere near as hard core as RMS.

Morals are anything to do with life. Taking or creating life is a moral issue. Think kill, murder, rape.
An issue is typically one or the other. eg It’s morally ok to kill someone in self defense. You wouldn’t say it’s ethical to kill someone in self defense.

Is he lying to me?

Kids need to learn that everyone is different and everyone is not treated the same. The oft liar is never trusted. The fat kid is probably the one that stole the candy. The nerdy kid probably did most of the group work. If you get good grades, the teacher gives you more slack in some areas.
And your example sucks. Putting your head down and “listening” is not the same thing as sitting up and paying attention to a lecture but not taking notes.
Don’t get me wrong. I see where you’re coming from and agree generally, but on academics, there’s too many different ways to learn. Whatever someone figures out that works best for them should be left to that if their marks are good every evaluation.
