i’d sit up, try finishing the comment I’m writing, realize my pants are on fire, extinguish them, and then finish the comment, and then look at the fire
The most frustrating part? Sometimes, seemingly at random, my brain will just kick into gear and I will be able to focus on something for hours without any effort at all. I can’t seem to cause it to happen, I don’t know where it comes from.

I’m never gonna recommend librewolf/mullvad browser/whatever is popular these days to a coworker, even if I daily drive them. Do you know what I did suggest to them, and they actually switched to it from chrome? Brave.
It’s not the best, it’s not the most powerful, but being able to say “it’s chrome but without ads” is a major selling point, especially with non tech savy people who don’t want their cookies cleared on every restart

alcohol is especially hard to ban because it’s just sugar and yeast, and you can even use natural yeast if it gets banned, and you can use fruit if sugar gets banned. While with drugs some tyrannical empire might be able to ban every single lab-related equipment and chemical (and even then, you would be surprised what people can make by themselves without anything else other then natural resources, I mean that’s how we got here as a species), alcohol is such a simple recipe that it’s just plain impossible to regulate effectively, and the current way of having it cheap enough that people don’t brew their own but expensive enough that the 99% of the population doesn’t turn into alcoholics is good enough
