It is but adding renet causes the milk fat to coagulate. Once that is done 90 degrees abpit the right temp for most cheese. The action of it moving it will cause tue curds to be broken down. The problem with this theory is the whey. Part of cheesemaking is removing the curd from the whey to allow the moisture to be removed. In a sealed vessel it cant go anywhere.

As a backend programmer I use it all the time. As an example I use it to determine percentage of total. I use it for discounts and taxes regularly. Figure totals of an order.
Your views on distros follows mine. Fedora is my day to day and debian is my server os of choice.

Linux@lemmy.ml•[Solved] Touchscreen and Pen input not working on Surface Book 2 with Linux-Surface Kernel and CachyOS.
3·10 months agoJust a quick question have you verified they are supported on the support matrix? I know various hardware on the surface-linix kernel has varying degrees of success.
Another issue others are not addressing is the memory limitations of 32bit software. I am facing it now with a large database that is stuck in a 32 bit world. You may have issues finding 32 bit builds of software as well.
The surface pro 5 is the most supported surface. I have been using it for a few years and it is pretty awesome. Pair it with a brydge keyboard and you have a hell of a laptop. I understand though brydge discontinued their surface keyboard

Linux@lemmy.ml•The worst mistake I could have possibly made with Linux...
5·11 months agoTotally agree with this and to add everyone’s tastes are different which is why there are so many different distros. It is true there are some tailored for specific things but no one distro is better then another. Any app you install on one can be installed on another
I use fedora kinoite atomic fedora with KDE. I have had no stability issues on a day to day usage for going on 2 years. I agree plasma is plasma regardless of distro but some distros update slower. Fedora is not bleeding edge but does do a pretty good job of staying ahead of the curve. I have been a Linux user since the 90’s and have been around the block a few times with different distros. I always fall back to redhat/fedora for my desktop day to day.
Only media queries I do are to raw images, avi files or raw audio files. Makes life some much easier when the standard is as old as the internet.
I would not say that. I use a very old 13" Dell XPS laptop. I use Code-Server and duckduckgo. I have be known to program on my 7 year old android tablet with a bluetooth keyboard. For the most part I look at docs for JS modules as I write mostly in Python with Flask and use JS for responsiveness. Before anyone suggests something else I have to interface with a VERY old database that I wrote a webservice into through C#. I do realize there are other ways but python is my comfort point and the amount of backend processing makes it easier to use a “real” language. For my purposes it is plenty fast.
I agree I love Debian for my servers but for my daily driver it is fedora.
Well shit you got me beat I ran Slackware from 3.5 disks in the 90s on a 486dx2. I sent away for those disks to be mailed to me. I even did something crazy with that machine I had lots of ram so I sent them off to a company to combine them together. I want to say it 8 or 16 megabytes. Bit I can’t remember now.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Is there any way to un-freeze my device when it freezes, without shutting down and losing my work?
6·1 year agoThat is how I deal with it as well. I just wanted to throw my experience out there because the reported issue sounds similar to what I have a experiences on a similar model laptop.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Is there any way to un-freeze my device when it freezes, without shutting down and losing my work?
6·1 year agoAs a side note I also use a xps 13 don’t remember the model but I have found they do not properly implement the sleep function and can cause issues when coming out of sleep. I have seen the computer act fine till I open something and then crash.
Your reply doesn’t make much sense. You say you have VMware but no VMS but you can delete them. I am not sire if you have them but they are not going to affect the host. I would remove the vmtools package from your computer/host reboot and see if it clears up the issue
You did not respond you request for an IP a to see if the devices are listed and whether they have an IP address.
Virb indicates a virtual driver. Are you running this Linux in a VM? Do you VM software installed. I think you may have installed the vmtools and it messed with your physical Ethernet. Virb is showing connected what do you get with an ip a? Does it show all the devices? Do any of them have an ip address?

Linux@lemmy.ml•Would downscaling a display allow for better battery life?
5·2 years agoThe display on my laptop is 4k and i can tell you i tried downscaling it was not as big a difference as simply turning the brightness down as low as was comfortable.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Noob Question Thread: Ask Any Questions About Linux!
4·2 years agoi unfortunately using kinoite for my desktop and Debian for my servers. I am not totally in love with kinoite but I don’t dislike it enough to change back to regular fedora.

I can not agree more. While I will admit my electric range knowledge is limited while my gas range knowledge is pretty high. I bought a house with an electric stove I put some oil in my pan turned the eye on and let it warm while I was cutting veggies or something else it had not been more then maybe 2 minutes and the oil burned to the pan. On gas i have never had that issue. It seems no matter what I do on electric I always burn. I admit it may be my lack of knowledge.
