There was a dude somewhere on the internet that used Google drive for swap space. I’ll see if I can dig it up…

That’s cool. We’re going to look back at present views of dinosaurs with laughter it sounds like. Thanks for the answer. I’ll check out the book.
That’s cool. How did they figure out the colouring?
I try hard to put myself into other people’s shoes but I find it impossible to imagine being as fuckin’ stupid as this.
Edit: I wonder if he applies the same logic to men. He looks over 24 to me.

That’s really clear, thanks. I learned a lot, including learning that I should not try to pronounce Eichhörnchen. :)

I can pronounce it but I don’t think you have too much to worry about pal…I’ve come across that specific word about three times in my whole life.

So… eye-ch-churn-chen?
First bit like Ike (edit: or Reich)

Eye-ch-urn-ken?
Irish and we have that gutteral Ch sound in Irish so I feel like it’s a cheat code for us.

I think many, many native speakers would struggle with those too so if you’re at that level you’re doing really well. Congrats!

Native. I say suttle. It’s a dirty word from the spelling in fairness.

Roo-ter is usually British and former colonies. Row-ter is north America.
I’d be interested to know! My guess is the results would be similar. The article does say:
Professor Pagnini adds, "Unlike traditional mindfulness interventions that require active engagement, this study highlights how situational interruptions alone may be sufficient to produce similar effects.
But also!!!
44% of those who offered their seats in the experimental condition reported not having seen Batman
which is interesting (how do you not notice Batman?! :D)
I would 100% give up my seat to an obviously pregnant lady but that lady pictured could just be very fond of Doritos and the depth of shame and horror of being wrong would live with me forever so I’m not sure if I’d just sit in painful indecision the whole journey.
The study was cool though.
Big brother is the first reality TV show that I recall being popular in the UK and Ireland. It kicked off in 2000 so well before the writers strike.

What an absolute load of nonsense. I have spent a decent amount of time in Qatar. I watched what were effectively slaves working away to build stadiums and hotels. It is a fair statement to point out the irony of a place with very strong censorship criticise censorship.
If the BBC lauded a foreign country for the equivalent of bloody Sunday I would point that out too so honestly just jog on.
Edit: just to reiterate, I agreed with the premise up front. It’s not a bad article. That doesn’t take away from a censorship heavy regime criticising censorship through their mouthpiece and I fully acknowledge that AJ is generally decent so no, it’s not racism.

Not at all. I agree with the premise as I said so there was no whataboutism in there. I merely pointed out that a news source from a nation that allows nothing even vaguely approaching what the UK has, to be ironic.
They’ve actually started figuring out some colours believe it or not. I’ll see if I can dig it up… Edit:

There’s a decent video on that page too.
