So I have this old sony bravia that technically supports 120hz but only with a custom EDID, and somewhere along the line of making the EDID I screwed up the display name. But I have one HDMI going to the TV and one HDMI going to the AVR for audio (to minimize input latency). It looks even more absurd in display properties lol.

oh shit, don’t hack me bro!

I hope this is close enough.
Is lab grade distilled water more guaranteed to be neutral pH? Because I tested some random distilled water from walmart and it was like 5.5. I then went down a rabbit hole and learned that distilled water is so pure that it just sucks up carbon from the air.

241·4 months agoI’m guessing the crime is how they got the movie.
According to the publication, police discovered that the leaker gained unauthorized remote access to the server on which the animated film was stored, leading him to allegedly download and upload clips of the film online.
This happened in Singapore I guess, but assuming they have similar laws to the US then this would be unlawful access of a computer system.

1·4 months agoIt really depends on how it was originally encded to x264 and what your goals for transcoding are in the first place (save space, playback compatibility, etc etc). there’s a pretty good little post on stackexchange that goes into more detail about the ffmpeg flags.

the separate pull request appears to be for archinstall, “a helper library which automates the installation of Arch Linux.” it would collect user age during installation… somehow?

It just says that when installed it was enabled, and it has been disabled later on. As for this apache server just after install Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/httpd.service; disabled; vendor preset: disabled) – admstg Commented Dec 7, 2023 at 10:50

2·5 months agoThanks for explaining it a bit more. I moved from Windows 11 to CachyOS (limine bootloader and kde plasma DE) sometime last year and that may be a bit above my paygrade right now. Based on what I’m seeing in the Arch Wiki it would seem that quite a few systemd components are in use for my distro.

Serious answer? Depends on if it seeds, I guess. Seems like they usually get people on distribution of copyrighted content, not just obtaining it for free.
