I actually still like some LTT videos. I just find the thumbnails off-putting … so unless the topic interests me I don’t typically watch anymore.
I really enjoyed the Emily/Anthony bits too.

(for some nostalgic Discovery vibes)
lol, okay that made me chuckle … I liked that.
Although, we both eventually got into the jobs for what we studied for. We’ve made that jokes both in university and when we got into respective fields.
My geophysicist friend laughed at me for a little long when I said “I’m a computer scientist”.
I never took that degree/job position or whatever seriously anyway. I’ve always giggled at software engineering too. I just call myself a programmer.
These are the same people that abuse tax loopholes and lobby and shit. I don’t pirate but I don’t give two shit’s on their holier than thou tone.
I grew a beard after I got food poisoning and the flu back-to-back. I couldn’t be arsed to shave.
I did try shaving years later but I hated nicking my chin with a razor and doing it every day was a pain.
I remember listening to an NPR podcast and it was talking about wasting money in science. There was that “shrimp fight club” and millions being spent on it. Turns out the money was for a science lab and for students wages and just a bit of money went on the shrimp experiment. Didn’t stop the headlines though. When the scientist went to explain the point to the politicians. They said that the shrimp shells were so resilient and lightweight and studying it could yield military benefits. The politician said that they would only care about that specific use case. The scientist had to explain you don’t get one without the other.

Onion architecture. Ports and adapters are other names for it, I think.
Make? As in Makefiles or make-up?
I’ve bought a lot of 4K movies/TV shows on Google Movies and they’re all 480 on my browser. Support tell me they understand my frustrations and say I gotta use Safari or Edge or something and they’re like 720P or something. I’m like, oh great, thanks.
Firefox and Piracy seem more alluring to me.
I quite like Reacher, most people like The Boys, I’ve heard good things about Good Omens.
That to me makes sense.
However, to be clear, when I posted this … I know I’m wrong. It’s what I felt I unreasonably couldn’t accept.
Being cold gives me a cold. Yes, I understand that the cold virus is correlated than causal. I just can’t buy it.
However everyone touts the “you huddle more in winter areas together” as if that makes sense. Pretty sure we do that more and in better weather.
I’m totally the opposite. I feel you gotta love in a town/city where it’s great. I just moved to a city where I have to drive most places now… I find myself getting lazier … I drive to the gym. That feels bad.
Nonetheless, I respect your unpopular opinion!
I have a similar policy. It sucks when it’s a video that I’m interested in (at least due to the title) but I refuse to follow along with this stupid trend.
Awesome I can’t wait to try it!
My favorite telling of the joke is by South Park: https://youtu.be/x2o2BGqMFik
That’ll only happen if you build your own boards and stuff. Not like me! I just got a simple Moonlander with some custom keycaps, dampeners, and red switches rather than my initial brown. After that, I realised that the Kinesis Advantage 360 is the way to go, so I’m fully settled now, not like everyone else … right?
Whenever I hear about moths, I think about the moth scene in Lost between Charlie and Locke: https://youtu.be/kmXV5iOncT8?si=Wh_d_RCkKiclyiYF
