Can anyone from gen z refute this? You relate to this deeply don’t you? It’s OK. Embrace it. Perms are your friend. They don’t betray you at all. Look how good you look.

From where I sit physical media is experiencing a huge surge in popularity. So I think bluray is here to stay, and will see more usage in the coming years.

Not by frequency, but by intensity. The amount of stubbornness, entitlement, and just absolute resentment for everything around them shocks me. The way they react to things not going exactly how they think they should go is astounding. Don’t get me wrong, the majority of them are pleasant and wonderful. But when an old person is mean, it’s on its own level. I’d say middle aged people are more likely to be difficult, but they never even come close to the tantrums that seniors will throw. Part of this could be chalked up to mental decline, but the main part is entitlement. Plenty of people experience mental decline, and dont become vitriolic assholes. They truly think they’re special and should get whatever they want at all times. Its exhausting explaining to an adult why I can’t do something for them that our organization is literally unable to do.

I personally love cooking so it’s something I actually do to curb depression, but I know many people who could use this book. Even if just as a symbol of solidarity. Thanks for sharing!

What era and place would you choose?3·2 years agoAs a gay man, maybe early empire Rome? Or even like early nomadic tribe times? Like, before there were institutions large enough to oppress people en masse. I’m sure there was plenty of gay sex happening as a nomadic hunter or trader.

I pretty much only use lemmy and discuit, and then twitch and discord for gaming. And I spend way less time on them than i did on reddit. Youtube has never been my thing. I hate being talked at by some try hard asshole trying to get me to subscribe to their mediocre channel. And the community there feels like it’s mostly people under the age of 16. No thanks. In general, the enshitiffication is real, and it’s pushing me away.

Food banks are often seriously underused programs that are exactly for people in your situation. A lot of people are hesitant to use food pantries because they perceive them to be for people in worse shape than themselves. But if you are only able to pay half rent, you are exactly the person that food pantries are more than happy to help. They are typically staffed with incredible people who often have their own experiences with trouble making ends meet, and these days you can get some very high quality and fresh food. Please, go. Other than that, know that being tired and feeling hopeless is normal, but you can persevere. Just reaching out here is a really hard step that takes a lot of courage. Good on you! And good luck! Internet hugs!!!
This morning. I cry pretty regularly though. It’s a good way to keep myself in touch with myself.
I’m doing wonderfully! Looking forward to cooking tonight, trying out a recipe from Nik Sharmas most recent book. How are you doin?
