Sure. I can’t wait to finally make the switch (Nvidia).
Lol, of course Lemmy posts this picture.
Awww, I enjoyed seeing morons get get flipped in the air by angry bison
Oh gawd, I hate that (sorry 😅). But so long as it was just an option, even a default one, that would be fine with me.
I think Gnome wins as I have it. But I would take the vanilla macos shell (not the underlying OS, just the shell) over vanilla Gnome.
You sure about that? Isn’t the hash stored on the secure element? I don’t doubt some right high rolling actors can get in there but it doesn’t sound that trivial.
Not to mention it is hard to do that with music and keep up with thousands of new tracks and artists.
Get a new wife?
Fascinating. The more ya know.
Great answer. I do use systemd boot on one of my systems as well. It isn’t exactly systemd itself is it? Simply a boot loader packaged as part of the general systemd boot suite, right?
Haha, I think we’re similar people. I also want a 16:10 screen. Maybe someday.
Just let them do what they want to do. They can live their life the way they choose.
I second price to performance ratio. If I had more money to burn I probably would go all in on some of these Linux-targeted laptops.
I’d also add a lot of them seem overpowered for my needs. I do like me a big screen but I don’t need a powerful GPU to go with it. I have a desktop rig for that. I can always just ssh into it if I need to do GPU heavy calculations.
Oh cool. Glad it’s not ARM. Way more distro options.
No longer using Ubuntu at all because they force snaps down your throat. While I do like snaps on the server environment, (I think a lot of the haters out there don’t see how nice they are on servers), I prefer to use Debian and then to just install snapd on my terms.
Fully agreed. But I know how to use cron, I have a life to live, and this switch is way down the priority list.
But it is something I’d like to find the time to do at some point.
I couldn’t yet used to Evolution. Tried it and didn’t like it. I really like Thunderbird and donate to them monthly. I’ve even embraced its RSS reader.
Is it a bit of a RAM-hogging, bloated mess? Yes, but eh, I’ve got 16 and 32 GB on my two machines. And it has everything I need. Let’s me manage 5 or 6 email accounts for different businesses a perfectly.
They are making a lot of changes. We’ll see how it ends up in a couple years.
I used to to vectorize and color my podcast logo. Big fan.
Romance language word order noun_descriptor is the right way.
