  • AI adds too many details. When a person draws an anime/cartoon character they will usually put in minimal details or they’ll simply paste the character on to an existing background (that could’ve been drawn by a different artist).

AI doesn’t have human limitations so it’ll often add a ton of unnecessary details to a given scene. This is why the most convincing AI-generated anime pictures are of one or two characters in a very simple setting (e.g. a plain street/sidewalk) or even a white or gradient background.

Humans can tell when art was put together by different artists. Such as when the background is a completely different style. AI doesn’t differentiate like that and will make the entire image using the exact style given by the prompt. So it’ll all look like it was “drawn” using the same exact style… Even though anime/cartoons IRL aren’t that uniform.

  • Ugh, if only that worked for longer than like a month.

Eventually all these materials you can throw under throw rugs to make them stickier end up failing. Catastrophically.

Make sure to get a throw rug that has the non-slip feature sewn in. Make sure it’s nice and heavy too and never put it in the dryer (it’ll ruin the non-slip part). You should probably air dry throw rugs anyway, actually 🤷

  • When you work on the same thing for 8 hours a day for years and then suddenly management decides that they need “detailed time tracking.”

They just gave you a new job without additional compensation. New responsibilities, no new title, no raise, etc.

Then—months later—they realize that everyone’s spending at least half an hour, regularly to figure out how they’re spending their time. Some bean counter adds up how much that costs in real money and then—out of nowhere—management decides they don’t need detailed time tracking anymore.
