Reddit is definitely centre right with some hard right groups. Have been banned multiple times for challenging racist rubbish, to be told that I don’t abide by community rules. Over the past two years, it would be difficult to speak up about Gaza or the rapid decline of the US. Been on Lemmy for a year now. I wouldn’t say it is left wing but neither have I seen the sort of rubbish that infests Reddit or X these days

I left WhatsApp and joined signal instead. I did notify most people but two years later not many have left WhatsApp. I do have a more quieter life. Some friends thought I’d ghosted them. Others thought I’d passed away. But to be honest, speaking to friends who work in secure comms companies, there is no such thing as privacy.
