Interesting, I’ll look into Gemini.
Do you use this? I’ve been thinking that there has to an underground “internet” that mimics the old web. I was thinking that it would be BBS or something. I haven’t gone down any rabbit hole yet because lemmy has been scratching the itch alright.
I have premium so maybe that’s a reason. Also, if I watch a video I know YouTube will latch unto them I remove it from my watch history and heavily use not interested option.
I too ignore shorts but I disagree with YouTube’s recommendations. It has gotten significantly better from even 2 years ago. I used to only watch my subscriptions, what I specifically sought out, or links from others. What YouTube recommended me was honestly confusing considering the amount of data they have on me and my interests. Now it’ll actually recommend general content I would watch. But also small YouTubers from the types of content I consistently watch. It’s pretty great.
Yes, probably about 5 times over 20 years and 100s of attempts. I usually try it when annoyed and want to see Windows fail.
‘You alright, Buddy? Do you remember anything?’
‘I…I remember the Alamo.’
I’ve never once known what I wanted to do. It’s working out. But I did sell my soul to Uncle Sam for a while.
I go out of my way to not reread it because I genuinely feel like I lose an IQ point that I’ll never get back.
I feel like it’s a Mac.
You can get a killer PC for 1500 and be decked out.
As for perspective OP, some further technical context could help. But either way, I can say that I agonized over getting a steam deck. But I got it because of travel and adore it. But that’s because it’s a crazy deal at $400. I think that $3000 will weigh on you if it’s not a priced out that it satisfies that bang for the buck budget mindset. I also don’t think it should be cheap but a good value will ease that part of the brain.
I’m not having another kid but if I did I would do my exact setup still. Audio to wake me up and video to see if a response is needed or if they need to cry it out.
