I’m born and raised in South America. First time I went into first world and saw the price of milk, as a tourist, with my South American salary, I freaked out because I couldn’t afford it.

Freaking hell, are all boomers that spoiled because of this single fact?
Ha I never thought of CEOs this way but now so many things make sense. Especially things being exactly as they were when CEOs change, but with a mountain of meaningless changes that never do any good.
Not that I ever thought they know what they were doing, but now I get what they’re used for.
Well if you’re that deep into losses, spending 10M in marketing goes a long way.
Sure
I still laughed. And I’ll share.

Also op mentions 20 years, were your other experiences like this?
What does Omega mean?
Who’s cyan? What’s going on?
In Brazil it’s the same. Get your masters first (3-4 years) then go for PhD (4-?) then if you’re really
crazyunemployed go for post PhD.

we have daily stand upswe meet every day in the same time and same place and there’s this guy who talks way more than he should
The sad thing is that according to Scott Manley video the areas it can hit are equatorial Africa or South of India, so lot of countries will try to ignore it
Until those countries start planning a meteor re route, which if done improperly could push the impact zone anywhere.

Join hobbies and what not, and remember to strike a balance of effort with fun. All fun can limit your choices, all effort makes it not worth it.

trolololol@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What big tropes are found in the movies of some cultures but pretty much absent in others?3·3 months agoAll of this is related to dichotomy in Hollywood and English writing: someone is fully good or fully bad, and the opposition for this is the anti hero which ends up being it’s own trope. Latin languages literature don’t necessarily go there, everyone is big parts good and bad. You don’t need to establish villains dressed in black who kill a dog in the beginning of the movie just tob umequivocally establish who’s going to be the bad guy.
