That’s not what rollbacks are for.

On NixOS, to change most configs, you need to rebuild.

To rebuild, you need internet.

If you mess up DNS, you need to rebuild to gain internet.

But you need internet to rebuild, so you can’t.

That’s when rollbacks are useful

Just wait until you mess up something like DNS or delete every text editor and you’ll be grateful for rollbacks.

FYI, browsh is more than just an old school terminal web browser (that would be lynx). It’s actually full firefox (or chromium IIRC), adapted to run in a terminal

Isn’t that just for the initial install? I was talking about post-install configuration

MicroOS. I didn’t switch from losedows to still have my PC restart on me while I was working. Also, it kinda broke and was annoying to configure, and had way too little documentation.
