Until you realize Threads goal is to also take down the Fediverse :(
They have plan to adopt the same standard “in future”. That mean we have plenty of time to check the beast from afar. Not perfect but not an immediate “thread” either.
The problem right now is that ask a s***load of personal information to use the app and if later you want to leave, you can’t unless you erase your Instagram account too.
Is that the official threads logo? Damn, that thing is so ugly! Should be an official dictionary definition of overdesigned!

Because threads is just facebook and facebook is garbage as it is. It doesn’t help that they have no respect for people’s privacy.
I’m not giving a fuck to the Twitter x Threads fight I already feel great on Mastodon and don’t plan on switching again
I don’t care about Twitter or Threads either, I just love watching Musk have a meltdown
Thing is that Threads plans to be able to connect to the fediverse as a whole. So who knows what the future holds for Mastodon.
Once they get enough users, they’ll probably get rid of the Fediverse part of threads and make it just threads
