according to the open-slopware repo (https://codeberg.org/ethical-foss/open-slopware), beansprout and rhine which are WMs for river are the only WMs for now that are anti-ai, but there is little to no stuff about them. Has anyone tried them?
I was not aware of that repo existing, that’s a pretty cool resource to have. Unfortunately i haven’t tried any of the river window managers yet. My distro only has the old river still and i haven’t bothered packaging anything myself (yet), but i am curious what the experience is like.
The beauty of river is that you just get to try out WMs :)

I used river for quite some time when I moved over to Wayland from bspwm. I still find it great for configuring from scratch.
No idea what are beansprout and rhine though.
beansprout and rhine are window managers for river, since 0.4 river requires a separate WM to function

I see. It seems river changed a lot since last time I used it. Now I’m intrigued, it adopts the old ways. Maybe I should check it again because I haven’t seen a lighter
WM/compositor for Wayland yet.
How are you liking bspwm? I’ve been eyeing it out too
I used bspwm for years after using i3wm. It was exactly how I wanted things. If you’re staying on Xorg, bspwm is great. Nowadays I find Niri more streamlined though.
