Repebble is releasing their Pebble Round 2, and I think I want to get it.
But I am not sure how to choose between 14mm vs 20mm straps.
I had an LG smartwatch 3 that had a 20mm strap, and I did not like how clunky the strap was.
But are there upsides/downsides to 14mm vs 20mm? How do you usually choose, and or what is your preference?
14mm looks ridiculously small for the size of the watch.

Is it? I felt like it fit in the other example photos, as shown below.

Here’s a silly idea: cut out two strips of paper for the sizes in question, and wear them on your watch wrist. See which one feels better to you.
After testing this out, I decided on the slimmer 14mm, because while a 20mm is okay, I feel like a 14mm would allow the watch to blend in more to my hand and look less bulky against it.
That’s a pretty smart idea!
14mm is awfully narrow for a full sized watch. Usually watches will only accept one strap width anyway. Are the straps that expensive? You could get both and swap between them depending on what style you like that day. Changing the strap makes the watch look quite a bit different.
The reason I am considering it is for the rose gold watch color. Because it only comes in 14mm.
You could ask on !watches@lemmy.ml though it’s kind of niche. People there might be attuned to this stuff though. There are also some big watch forums like timezone.com and hodinkee.com.
I’d get the 20mm
