Taking one Jewish trend in South Korea and one Muslim trend in Japan, and generalizing them to Asians adopting Abrahamic religions is sophistry bordering on racism.

How? The trends represent real-world data. And, before anyone says anything about fear of Islam or Judaism, Jews don’t want people converting to their faith – it’s why they don’t proselytize. They believe you have to be born into it. And most Muslim converts, who weren’t born into the religion, leave it within 5 years anyway. There’s no reason to fear either taking over anything from conversions.

I just want to know what’s going on behind the scenes.

At the least, you’ve baselessly assumed these two events are related, and at the worst, you’ve taken these trends within two populations groups totaling at most 175 million people, and applied them to 5 billion.

Quantum mechanics says that everything is related. Ice cream sales and murders rise and fall at the same times each year – during the Summer, when it’s hot outside. Asking why a certain group of people is suddenly taking an interest in another group of people isn’t racist. Especially when there’s been a long history of disinterest among those groups.

I didn’t make that application. I asked what was driving it. Not why all Asians like Abahamic religions.
