What is it with all the PHP hate? People act like PHP is the first and only language ever to have a security flaw while in the real world this happens everywhere . anyone want to claim JavaScript never has security flaws, for example?
The only arguments I hear about “PHP sucks” are the tired 20year old arguments that even back then were flimsy at best. For those not in the know: PHP got improved. Has been doing that for over 25 years now, and I know it’s surprising to many but PHP today isn’t the same as php 20 years ago
Am I bitching and moaning? Hell yeah. I’ve been using PHP for 25 years now and I’ve built amazing things with it. Its still my favorite after all these years be cause it. Gets. Shit. Done.
I’m a JS dev. Fuck it, every language sucks, let me bash PHP and you can bash JS.
Indeed every language sucks. Half my hard disk capacity is contained in a single node_modules folder.
I mean if the languages you mostly know are JS and PHP, then it makes sense that you’d think that every language sucks.
