Nah lemmy.ml is still federated. You can see it listed here https://lemmy.world/instances
Hi! I’m British, I like music (grime, garage, hip-hop, R&B, and more!). I like art, culture, history, politics, & doomscrolling memes.
Also a touch of programming :)
also on /u/Madbrad200@sh.itjust.works
Nah lemmy.ml is still federated. You can see it listed here https://lemmy.world/instances
It’s blocked from lemmy.world. I’d recommend using LASIM and migrating to another instance like https://lemm.ee/ (note: you will need to manually resubscribe to !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com on your new account, since LASIM won’t be able to see it).
That’s not a copy of the main piracy community, that’s another piracy community that’s hosted on lemmy.world
The community people are talking about is !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com, which is no longer accessible via lemmy.world
It appears !piracy@lemmy.ml is also blocked.
I don’t care. They can figure it out or ask, lol.
Block the individual bots. You’ll get rid of them in one go.
You get Google app store credit for doing very short surveys. I’ve bought a few things with it
THey probably mean !shitposting@lemmygrad.ml or !lemmyshitpost@lemmy.world
For 196, there’s !196@lemmy.world and !196@lemmy.blahaj.zone
The last two (shitpost@lemmy.world, blahaj) are both very active.
I included a list of animal communities in this post here (among other fun/casual communities). Some you didn’t mention:
fixed link
Lemmy is still in that early link aggregator stage, Reddit was like this too for awhile.
as the saying goes, be the change you wish to see…
I made a list of good casual Lemmy communities recently that you might find helpful :)
The most relevant,
There’s also other “ask” communities:
Might also be worth checking:
As they are also discussion based.
Just block the bots. Keep the ones that generate a decent amount of conversation.
You can disable Brave ads and tracking pretty easy. A lot of the crypto stuff can be disabled too.
Worth noting that Aliucord relies on a very outdated version of Discord. Vendetta is worth using if you want the newer features to work well
hexbear (a leftist instance) was defederated recently. lemmygrad.ml is “under discussion”.
lemmy.ml has too many general users thesedays imo, it would be very major to block it.
