Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is an underrated/forgotten video game that you think deserved a second chance?
1·2 years agoIf you like Privateer, check out Double Damage Games “Rebel Galaxy: Outlaw”. Excellent game with a lot of sadly lost potential due to the dev being run out of game development by hostile and entitled “gamers”.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What is an underrated/forgotten video game that you think deserved a second chance?
2·2 years agoDarkstar One. And it is just now getting rereleased, so it doesn’t count.
So instead, I’ll pick The Legend of Dragoon on PSX. Such a fun RPG that really needs revisited.
Persona. I’ve had conversations with friends after playing P4 or P5 for awhile where I wondered what response would max out my confidant points with them.
Especially Blue Stilton. By far my favorite cheese!
Uh oh. They smell like blue cheese? That means they smell delicious!
It’s a magic carpet.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Of all movies that you gotta watch more than once to really understand, what is your favorite and why?
1·2 years agoI would, but I’m not even supposed to be here today.
Is that Bobby?
I’d love to know what this would actually do.
Edit: Thanks for the responses and lively discussion!!

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•People born on Leap Day, do you celebrate your birthday on February 28th, February 29th, or March 1st?
491·2 years agoMy friend in grammar school had a Leap Day birthday and his parents’ solution was that his birthday was celebrated “the day after February 28th”.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Which video game did you bounce off of at first, but then tried again later for it to become one of your favorites of all time?
2·2 years agoIt’s even more crazy to consider the entire filesize for Vagrant Story is around 100mb. It’s incredibly economical for what it achieves.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Which video game did you bounce off of at first, but then tried again later for it to become one of your favorites of all time?
3·2 years agoKnights Field series. I never could get into them back in the day, but I’ve been on a retro kick with my Anbernic and got sucked into them. Ended up putting 20 hours so far into the English translation of the first Japanese KF.
Also, Vagrant Story. Pretty much same scenario where I rented it back in the day and bounced off the combat for not making any sense to me. Tried it recently and really dig it. The combat system is really quite clever once you understand it.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Which video game did you bounce off of at first, but then tried again later for it to become one of your favorites of all time?
5·2 years agoI feel that. It is still the game I have logged the most time with, which considering I’ve got about 1,300 hours in Elite Dangerous is kinda scary. Between the original Xbox, PC, and Xbox One BC, I’ve got about 1,800 hours in it. Thoroughly enjoyed breaking every aspect of Morrowind.
Came here for this. I enjoy all three flavors of Mint, personally. XFCE is probably one of the best “lightweight” distros put there and rarely gets mentioned. Cinnamon is perfect for anyone looking for a more user-friendly Ubuntu derivative, and LMDE is probably the most approachable Debian distro out there.
Mint is a great starter distro for just about everybody.

Looks like the hole they dragged the Brain Bug out of.
