I just started with Claude and I can’t yet distinguish when it has actually done something it says it has done. With ChatGPT I can see through the bullshit quite well by now. At first I was happy when I thought Claude was rid of that bullshit, but turns out it’s just a different type of bullshit.

The UI and file handling is better in Claude though, and supposedly you can make it create skills which are like instruction booklets on how to do some tasks and then export and share them. But the ones I created were lost during the weekend so I’m not sure how robust they actually are.

I didn’t notice your critique on the outcome of results, but how they were achieved. LLM’s hallucinating are making computers make ”human errors”, which makes them less deterministic, the key reason I prefer doing some things on a computer.

It’s called the heuristic method and those doing it know the limitations. Whereas LLMs will just confidently put out garbage claiming it true.

Back when I was in Jordan, I visited a music store. They had a big screen on the wall with Windows Explorer open with a huge catalog of .mp3s. You could choose anything and they would burn the CD for you. Everything was clean and tidy as you would expect for a shop in a central location. Made me aware of how much legislators work to protect the rights of those few companies that own the rights.

IIRC whatsapp’s automatic backups are stored in cloud and unencrypted by default. So it takes only one person in the group chat who has backups enabled (pop up reminds periodically if not) and no password is set (not required, takes effort and will to set) to leak everyone’s messages.

I’ve had glasses for a long time and interestingly they clean better with hand soap. Many have suggested to use dish soap but it seems to be less effective. I’d imagine most of the stains come from being in contact with skin so I’m a bit surprised.
