I’ve used a lot of mattresses made of foam. They were pretty good.

The singular response I got said that it holds up ok, but it’s not very soft.
I’m glad your couch has maintained its shape. It figures that the foam isn’t very soft. If it were too soft, it would break down more easily.
Oh, I see. No, I am not going to fuck the couch.
It’s not a beanbag. It’s made of foam.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•[serious] Why is Lemmy community generaly against AI?
21·2 days agoWell, if you say so. People are really emotional about AI, so I’m not going to argue with you or try to educate. Have a nice day.

61·2 days agoIf you want to convince someone of something, you’ve got to convince them it is beneficial for them to do or not do what you want. Otherwise, it comes off like you’re trying to selfishly impose your own will onto others.
If someone says that AI speeds up their workflow (which they need to live and remain housed), and your response is “but it’s bad for moral reasons” you’re saying that your moral reasons matter more than the other person’s ability to earn money… A better idea would be to try to make them see that an ai subscription is a waste of money and doesn’t actually speed up their workflow.

It makes sense in a video game or a fantasy story, but in real life people grow weaker over time. I’ve never really seen that exemplified in fiction, kind of like how in fiction nobody needs to go to the bathroom.
It’s so weird that people lie about JD Vance fucking a couch when he’s probably actually fucked a kid. I don’t think Republicans are phased by rumors like that anymore, considering what they’re doing in real life.
